Natural Wonders Playscapes offers a variety of play elements to support different kinds of play, depending on what you want for your space. Many people start with two to four elements and build from there over time.

Play Stumps

Natural wood stumps invite climbing, balancing, jumping, and imaginative play. Each stump has a lightly sanded top while the bark remains for texture and sensory exploration.

Logs & Log Benches

Additional logs: $350–450 each

Pine logs are a versatile, open-ended play element that can be used for balancing, seating, obstacle courses, and outdoor classroom spaces. Available with bark intact or debarked, each log is individually sourced and prepared by hand, and can be installed or left movable depending on the needs of the space. Standard logs are up to approximately 8 feet long, with custom sizes and layouts available.

Cable Spool

These reclaimed cable spools are versatile loose-play elements. Children can roll them, climb them, balance on them, or transform them into tables, stools, or building props. Approx. 14” height × 14” diameter

Timber Sandbox

Starts at $1,750

A handcrafted sandbox built from stacked 6x6 timbers, creating a durable and inviting space for digging, building, sensory play, and imaginative adventures. The wide timber edges provide comfortable seating for both children and adults. Typical size is approximately 8’ × 8’, with custom sizes available. Sand delivery, installation, and excavation for additional sand depth are available.

Outdoor Chalkboard

Weather-resistant chalkboards create a dedicated outdoor space for drawing, storytelling, games, and creative expression. Available mounted to an existing fence or wall, or as a framed freestanding feature.

Barrel Water Pump

A backyard favorite for sand and water play. Children pump water from a reclaimed barrel to mix with sand, create channels, or experiment with flowing water. Includes movable stump step.

Branch Tepee

Every child loves a cozy hideaway. Built from sturdy branches, these natural teepees create an open-ended space for imaginative play and can be customized to fit your yard. Approx. 5–7 ft diameter.

Add climbing vines and planting for $250 to transform it into a living teepee that grows into a leafy retreat over time.

Mud Kitchen / Workbench

Starts at $1,250

A outdoor workspace designed for creative, hands-on play. These sturdy stations can function as a mud kitchen for mixing and pretend cooking or as a workbench for building projects. Each piece is custom-built and can include a removable basin for water, sand, plants, or mud. Typical width ranges from 5–7 feet.

Willow Dome

Starts at $950 (Add vining plants for $300)

A woven willow dome that creates a cozy hideaway for imaginative play. These natural forts invite children to crawl inside and create their own quiet retreat outdoors. The dome is built using willow branches for a rustic structure. It can be enhanced with climbing plants that gradually grow around the fort and transform it into a living green hideaway.

Stump & Log Sand Play Area

A handcrafted sand play area designed for digging, building, and open-ended play. Stumps and logs define the space while providing opportunities for balancing, climbing, seating, and imaginative play, creating a more organic alternative to a traditional sandbox.
